A Twist of Love

Posted: 26 Jul 2010

Friday, July 30
Main Stage

NCTC will present "A Twist of Love" an original musical revue at 8 pm, featuring six entertainers singing some of Broadway's greatest love songs. The "twist" is that all the men in the show will be singing love songs normally sung by female characters, and the women will tackle some songs that men have gotten to sing for years.

In addition, our new Managing Director, Dave Dorrell, and new Artistic Director, Paul Conroy, will be announcing the slate of shows to be presented in NCTC's two theatres from January 2011 through May of 2012! Season tickets will be on sale at this event - your earliest opportunity to purchase - and at a discount!

There are MANY thrilling changes being made, and lots of outstanding plans being made, so you will NOT want to miss this great night! Admission is free and food and drinks will be served before the show. Bring family members, friends, strangers on the street!

We hope to see you this Friday night the 30th at NCTC!

The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds

Posted: 26 Jul 2010

August 12, 13, 14, 15, 19, 20, 21, 22; Thu/Fri/Sat at 8 pm; Sun at 2:30 pm

In this Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Beatrice is a slatternly, widowed housewife who takes her hatred of the world out on her two children, Ruth and Matilda (Tillie). She badgers them and often keeps them out of school to help with housework, which never gets properly done anyway. The extroverted Ruth is an epileptic and has little love or respect for her mother. The younger Tillie escapes her nightmarish daily life by making scientific experiments in school, studying the effects of cobalt‐60 on marigolds. Only her laboratory work sustains her, and when she wins a science competition she begins to see a brighter future.

Directed by Susan Patterson and Becky Clark in the Black Box.
