Cabaret by Joe Masteroff
March 8 & 9, 2010: 7 pm at the theatre. Roles for older children through adults. Singing and dancing. Performances are May 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16, 21, 22, and 23. Attend either evening to audition. Directed by Paul Conroy. Those auditioning for a singing role should prepare 32 measures of two contrasting songs not from Cabaret. Bring sheet music in their key. An accompanist will be provided. Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes to move in. Cold reading from the scripts. No experience necessary to audition.
Roles:
Emcee: Male, 20s to 40s. Mysterious and menacing. The host of the Kit Kat Klub. Strong triple threat showman. German. Baritone/Tenor, low C-high G. Strong dancing. Sings: Willkommen, If You Could See Her, Sitting Pretty/Money, Money, I Don’t Care Much, and Two Ladies.
Cliff Bradshaw: Male in his 20s. An American novelist touring Europe. Handsome, endearing, and very observant. Baritone, High E-Low G. No Dancing. Sings: Don’t Go.
Herr Schultz: Male in his 50s. A Jewish fruit merchant and gentle soul, enamored of Fraulein Schneider but oblivious of what’s happening to Berlin. German. Baritone/low tenor (high E to low G). No Dancing. Sings: Married, It Couldn’t Please Me More.
Ernst Ludwig: Male, 20s to early 30s. Smooth and likeable, but all business. Very good at getting what he wants. German. Nonspecific vocal range. No Dancing. Sings: Tomorrow Belongs to Me Reprise
Sally Bowles: Female, late teens to early 20s. British cabaret singer is brash and shocking on the outside but insecure and fragile inside. British. Alto (high E to low G). Some Dancing. Sings: Cabaret, Perfectly Marvelous, Don’t Tell Mama
Fraulein Schneider: Female, 40s+. Rough exterior with a fragile heart of gold. Runs a boarding house. German. Range: Low E flat to C1. No Dancing. Sings: So What? Married, It Couldn’t Please Me More, What Would You Do?
Fraulein Kost: Female in her 20s. Calculating lady of the evening. German. Range: Low A to E1. No Dancing. Sings: Tomorrow Belongs to Me Reprise
Kit Kat Kids: Male and female. Must be strong singer/dancers. All heights, races, ages (from older children and up), sizes, and shapes. Also double in many parts as sailors, custom officers, party guests, etc. Female Vocal Range: Vocal range: high E to low G. Male Vocal Range: high G to low A. Sings: Willkommen, Don’t Tell Mama, The Telephone Song, Two Ladies, Sitting Pretty/Money, Money, The Kickline, Tomorrow Belongs to Me Reprise
Nazi Youth: Males, approximately 8 to 12 years old. Sings: Tomorrow Belongs to Me. No Dancing. Those trying out for these roles should come on Monday, March 8th ONLY.
Psycho Beach Party by Charles Busch
May 9 & 10, 2010: 7 pm at the theatre. Roles for 5 males and 6 females. Performances are June 25, 26, 27 and July 9, 10, 11, 16, 17, and 18. Attend either evening to audition. Directed by Jeff Allen.
The Secret Garden
June 7 & 8: 7 pm at the theatre. Roles for children (ages 10 and up) and adults. Attend either evening to audition. Performances are July 23, 24, 25, 30, 31, and August 1. Directed by Dewyne Jefferson.

June 28 & 29, 2010: 7 pm at the theatre. Roles for 5 females (adults, teens/young adults) and 2 males. Performances are August 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29 and September 3, 4, and 5. Attend either evening to audition. Directed by Susan Patterson.
Romeo and Juliet
July 26 & 27: 7 pm at the theatre. Attend either evening to audition. Directed by Laurel Alford. Roles for teenagers. Performances are September 17, 18, 19, 24, 25, and 26 in the black box.
Fuddy Meers by David Lindsay-Abaire
August 23 & 24, 2010: 7 pm at the theatre. Performances are October 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 22, 23, and 24. Attend either evening to audition. Directed by Chaz Ferguson.
Roles:
CLAIRE: About forty, a generally sunny woman with amnesia.
RICHARD: About forty, a chatty, friendly, sometimes nervous man.
KENNY: Seventeen, a troubled teen.
LIMPING MAN: About forty, lisping, limping, half-blind, half-deaf man with secrets.
GERTIE: Sixties, a clear-headed lady who's had a stroke and can't speak properly.
MILLET: Thirties or forties, an odd man with a puppet.
HEIDI: Thirties or forties, a tough woman in uniform.
Dog Sees God
