Where are you located?
We are located in beautiful downtown Newnan, Georgia, next to the 1st Avenue Park. Head south on the court square (LaGrange Street). Pass the Alamo on your right, heading toward Newnan High School. At the flashing yellow light (before you go over the bridge), take a right onto Long Place (Goodyear Tire is on the corner). NCTC is on your left at the stop sign (corner of Long Place and 1st Avenue).
Where do I park?
If the NCTC parking lot is full, you can park across the street or in the city hall parking lot. You can also park along Long Place. NCTC cast and crew members should always park in the city hall parking lot during performances. This frees up parking for our show attendees.
Do I have to prepare anything for auditions?
Any requirements by the director to audition will be noted on our Auditions page. We do not require any previous experience and welcome anyone to audition to gain experience in the process. You do not need to bring a headshot or resume.
I am a writer and would like you to read my script. Who do I send it to?
Please submit it to our Artistic Director (artistic-director@newnantheatre.org) and he will contact you.
How do I make a reservation?
You can make a reservation in a variety of ways. You may make it from our website by registering, logging in, then clicking on the "My Account" link on the right hand side of each page. You can call our reservation line at (770) 683-6282. Leave a message and we'll call you back if there are any problems with your reservation. You can also email your reservation to info@newnantheatre.org. When making a reservation via phone or email please leave your name, telephone number, date of show, the number of tickets you'd like to reserve, and tell us if you are a season ticket holder.
Are there any benefits to being a season ticket holder?
Yes, there are many benefits to being a season ticket holder! They include:
Can I videotape the play?
Unfortunately, under no circumstances, can our plays be taped. Videotaping of any performance is in violation of the license that we sign to put on the show. It doesn't matter that it's for personal use, or professional use. There are no circumstances which allow for you to videotape the plays. We're sorry, but it's the law.
Can I take photos of the play?
Photos are allowed, however, during performances we ask that you do not use flash photography as it may interrupt the actors. Additionally, the actors are available in the lobby after the show for you to take pictures with.
Can I direct a show at your theatre?
Please contact our Artistic Director (artistic-director@newnantheatre.org) for information concerning directing at NCTC.
Why do I have to register to use your site? Will I get spam?
You don't have to register to use the site, but you do have to register to be able to make your reservations online. This is to allow you full control over your reservations, like changing or canceling them. We do not use your registration information to email you. It's completely private. To receive emails from us, you'll have to sign up for our email newsletter seperately.
Is your theatre available for rent?
We do rent out our theatre when it's not in use. For rates, availability, and more information, please email our Managing Director at managing-director@newnantheatre.org.
