Legendary Hollywood mogul David O. Selznick had just fired the director of Gone with the Wind after shooting started with an unfinished script. He brought in writer Ben Hecht, who never read the book, and director Victor Fleming, who just finished The Wizard of Oz, and locked them in his office for five days, with bananas and peanuts as their only food, to finish the script. Enjoy a fun, farcical look at the birth of one of the most beloved films of all time.
