NTC's Improvisational Comedy Troupe is called the N.I.T.W.I.T.S.
(Newnan Improv Troupe With Intelligent, Talented Stooges)

Newnan Theatre Company’s improvisational comedy troupe, N.I.T.W.I.T.S., began fifteen years ago to bring something more than “just plays” to the community. With shows like “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” becoming a major hit on television, both the original British version and the American version hosted by Drew Carey, the troupe wanted to bring improvisational theatre home. N.I.T.W.I.T.S. performs between nine and ten shows a year at Newnan Theatre Company. Most of the shows have a theme, which allows the audience to suggest topics, specific locations, or objects, as the players then base a comedy sketch around the suggestions.

“It’s a lot of fun. We always plan an evening around a N.IT.WI.T.S. show. Our whole group goes out to dinner, and then we head to NTC for a couple hours of fun and laughter.”
— longtime N.I.T.W.I.T.S. patron Mike Marchese

N.I.T.W.I.T.S.: GAME OVER

Two rookie game developers are at their wit’s end, trying to decide what hot new video game everyone will want to play. They’ve gone through many ideas and scrapped every single one of them. After the repetitive cycle of continuously “having an idea!” and then throwing it away because “it’s stupid!”, they decide it is time to call for reinforcements.

On May 25, the last N.I.T.W.I.T.S. show of the 2023-2024 season, join our developers in brainstorming to create the perfect video game designed for the people and by the people. You will see cut scenes and gameplay from YOUR ideas! Play, pause, and create your own characters. Just make sure they don’t die!

With your help, these rookie game developers may get to keep their jobs. No pressure!

You have the power to control your own world AND the digital world in N.I.T.W.I.T.S.: Game Over!
