NTC's Improvisational Comedy Troupe is called the N.I.T.W.I.T.S.
(Newnan Improv Troupe With Intelligent, Talented Stooges)
Newnan Theatre Company’s improvisational comedy troupe, N.I.T.W.I.T.S., began fifteen years ago to bring something more than “just plays” to the community. With shows like “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” becoming a major hit on television, both the original British version and the American version hosted by Drew Carey, the troupe wanted to bring improvisational theatre home. N.I.T.W.I.T.S. performs between nine and ten shows a year at Newnan Theatre Company. Most of the shows have a theme, which allows the audience to suggest topics, specific locations, or objects, as the players then base a comedy sketch around the suggestions.
““It’s a lot of fun. We always plan an evening around a N.IT.WI.T.S. show. Our whole group goes out to dinner, and then we head to NTC for a couple hours of fun and laughter.””

Will they take home the coveted N.I.T.W.I.T.S.: Idol statuette? Will their songs go viral over social media? Will they be ridiculed and scorned?
The competition will certainly be interesting, if not fierce, on the best singing show you’ve never seen before, N.I.T.W.I.T.S.: Idol!
